Staff Accountant,
Working closely with Senior Accountants on the General Ledger (GL) team, the Staff Accountant will engage in various aspects of month-end close along with team members across all accounting groups to work on special projects and assignments in support of implementing new accounting systems.

Working closely with Senior Accountants on the General Ledger (GL) team, the Staff Accountant will engage in various aspects of month-end close along with team members across all accounting groups to work on special projects and assignments in support of implementing new accounting systems.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Prepare monthly bank and Balance Sheet reconciliations for both domestic and foreign accounts.
- Proactively address and resolve reconciling items to maintain clean and accurate reconciliations.
- Collaborate with Senior Accountant and Senior Analyst in monthly closings and year-end processes.
- Prepare and enter journal entries to support the generation of financial statements.
- Assist in various financial reporting processes throughout the month.
- Work alongside tax team to assist with the required monthly/quarterly/annual tax filings. This includes multi-state sales and use tax filings.
- Assist with the preparation of audit workpapers.
- Knowledge of accounting theory and practices for professional service firms.
- Analytical and Problem solving acumen.
- Account analysis and reconciliation skills.
- Uphold ethical standards in financial reporting and decision-making.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information.
- Navigate complex financial issues and solve problems efficiently.
- Adapt to changes in accounting standards, regulations, and corporate structures.
- Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Handle multiple responsibilities concurrently.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting processes.
- Effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide financial insights.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- One to two years in a similar position for a law firm or professional services firm preferred.
- Position requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in the following software:
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Familiarity or previous experience with Elite Enterprise and 3E preferred
