Staff Accountant - Phaxis LLC

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial management of the organization. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as proficiency in financial software.

Duties

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees.
• Conduct month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with SOX regulations and internal controls.
• Perform accrual accounting to accurately reflect company expenses and revenues.
• Utilize financial software, such as Quicken, for tracking financial transactions and reporting.
• Interpret financial reports to provide insights into business performance and support decision-making.
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits and assist in resolving any discrepancies.
• Support private equity initiatives by providing necessary financial data and analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Proven experience in public accounting or a similar role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes and regulations.
• Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements is a plus.
• Proficient in financial management practices, including accrual accounting.
• Experience with financial software, particularly Quicken or similar applications.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Language: Chinese: Mandarin or Cantonese (Proficient); English (Proficient)
