Staff Accountant - TalentBridge

Responsibilities:

• Ensure monthly profit and loss statements accurately reflect the results of the reporting period.
• Prepare monthly journal entries, payments, and account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
• Partner with internal departments (e.g., Corporate Accounting, Legal, Technical Accounting & Audit) and collaborate with Field Finance and Operations management.
• Analyze the profit and loss statement and balance sheet for potential misstatements or discrepancies, leveraging available tools to uphold internal controls.
• Ensure balance sheet accounts reflect accurate balances, performing monthly reviews and reconciliations.
• Research and resolve general ledger account variances to maintain financial integrity.
• Prevent earnings management by ensuring proper use and validation of journal entries.
• Prepare purchase orders in alignment with contractual agreements.
• Provide excellent customer service and support to internal and external stakeholders.
• Create and maintain checklists to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Identify and implement best practices to improve processes and operational efficiencies.
• Assist management with special projects and ad hoc requests as assigned.
• Perform other accounting tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of budgetary management and accounting principles/procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (SAP experience is a plus).
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
