Staff Accountant - Gulf Stream Staffing

Gulfstream Staffing has recently partnered with a specialty healthcare organization looking for a knowledgeable Staff Accountant to increase company accuracy and efficiency. The Staff Accountant will participate in accounting department tasks, including the recording, tracking, and reporting of financial information. This individual would be responsible for maintaining accurate and complete financial records of the Company on a day-to-day basis. Location: Central CT

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participate in month end close process (10 days)
• Create financial reports and maintains library of financial reports.
• Prepare and review monthly general ledger reconciliations and supporting documentation.
• Verify and compile data from external software systems for journal entry import and general ledger reporting for multiple companies (revenue, COGS data, and payroll data).
• Responsible for accounting allocations (including payroll allocations) and accurate reporting for multiple locations and departments and related companies.
• Ensure accounting transactions and entries to general ledger accounts are accurate and complete.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Accounting or Finance.
• 2-3+ years of Staff Accounting experience.
• Multi-Site & Multi-Entity experience
• $50MM+ revenue experience
• Experience working in accounting systems, such as, Dynamics, Great Plains or Sage.
