Staff Accountant
An exciting opportunity is available for a Staff Accountant to join a growing, family-owned and well-established company in the Western New York area. This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $50,000 to $70,000/year, depending on experience, and provides a great platform for career growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and a desire to develop into a more senior role.

In this role, you will support the accounting team by handling general ledger entries, accruals, and depreciation schedules. You’ll also play a pivotal role in the implementation of a new computer system, ensuring a smooth transition while continuing to contribute to the company’s success. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to take on increasing responsibility, work closely with a dedicated team, and grow within the organization.

This is an in-person position in the WNY area.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, accruals, and depreciation schedules.
• Assist in the implementation of a new computer system, providing support to ensure a seamless transition.
• Work closely with accounting team members to ensure accurate and timely financial records.
• Ensure confidentiality of financial information and demonstrate trustworthiness in all dealings.
• Assist with various ad-hoc accounting tasks and projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Experience in accounting or bookkeeping (internships welcome).
• Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Self-motivated with a desire to grow within the company and take on more responsibilities over time.
