TONYMOLY USA, a leader in the K beauty industry, is seeking a passionate, dynamic, and experienced Staff Accountant to join our Brooklyn-based team. This is a HYBRID role.
The ideal candidate will bring at least 3 years of accounting expertise from the dynamic wholesale or retail industry. A background in cosmetics is a plus, but not a prerequisite. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our financial operations, managing critical records, crafting insightful monthly financial statements, and ensuring we’re always in compliance!
Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our financial operations, managing critical records, crafting insightful monthly financial statements, and ensuring we’re always in compliance!
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the accounting of the e-commerce channel: Enter the invoicing of gross sales, discounts, returns, refunds, shipping income, sales tax, credit card fees into SAP from platforms such as Shopify and Ship station.
- Responsible Amazon (US, Dropship, Canada): Enter all orders into SAP that we receive daily. Also post all incoming cash, deductions into SAP that we receive from Amazon Portal.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for Ecom and Amazon Customer P&L
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the processing of invoices, payments, and collections. Ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions and chargebacks.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor and report on variances.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures. Stay updated on industry regulations and standards.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analysis and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Inventory Management: Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure accurate recording and valuation of inventory.
- Financial Analysis: Perform financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ad Hoc Reporting: Prepare ad hoc financial reports as required by management.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in a wholesale or retail environment. Must possess a deep understanding of inventory accounting principles, including inventory valuation methods (FIFO, LIFO, average cost), inventory cycle counting, and inventory management systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (ex: SAP Hanna) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and industry-specific regulations.
