About the Job
Vaco Boston has partnered with our client to help fill a Staff Accountant role. The Staff Accountant will report to an Accounting Senior and work closely with the other members of the GL team. The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to work independently, and enjoy new challenges. The successful candidate will possess the ability and desire to grow and assume additional responsibilities as the company grows.
Responsibilities
- Provide general ledger and reporting assistance to finance
- Manage general ledger account reconciliations, monthly accruals and general journals, along with special projects as assigned.
- On a monthly basis reconcile bank accounts, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other reconciliations as needed
- Assist with accounts payable journal entries
- Post cash deposits and coordinate accounts as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in accounting, Finance or Business required
- Minunum of 2 or more years of accounting expereince required
- Plus to have either a general ledger maintenance or financial reporting background
- Must maintain attention to detail at all times
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially Excel
- Possess discretion to work with confidential information

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
