Staff Accountant at Creative Financial Staffing

Creative Financial Staffing has teamed up with a leading investment firm in the Boston area to identify a Staff Accountant.

About the Company Seeking a Staff Accountant:

• This opportunity is with a firm focused on advisory services, and portfolio growth and management
• Founded almost 25 years ago, the firm grew from a department of an established company at the time, breaking into their own business
• The Staff Accountant will work with a close knit group and provide substantial value to the team
• This person will be the right hand to the CFO, and work on various analysis projects as well as the day to day accounting functions of a small team

Responsibilities of Senior Accountant:

• Full-cycle Accounts Payable processes including:
  • Entering invoices into Great Plains
  • Journal entries
  • Weekly check runs
  • Reconciliations
• Assisting with record-keeping
• Preparing documentation for audit season
• Vendor management including updating contracts and helping with 1099 filing
• Other ad hoc projects will be expected of the Staff Accountant to support quarter-end and year-end

Desired Skills of the Staff Accountant:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or experience equivalent (
• 3+ years of Staff Accountant experience, including full-cycle Accounts Payable and preparing journal entries
• Comfortable working with a small team
• Great Plains experience is a major plus
