We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated professional who is ready to take their career to the next level. You will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of our company, ensuring that our financial records are accurate and up-to-date. In this role, you will play a key role in financial reporting, financial analysis, internal auditing, and month-end reporting.

Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliation.
Conduct regular ledger processes, prepare financial statements and reports, and compile and analyze financial reporting packages.
Prepare internal and external financial reports, ensuring they comply with accounting standards and regulations.
Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
Conduct regular internal audits and assist with external audits.
Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems.
Perform monthly payroll functions, including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
Coordinate with the finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
Evaluate computerized accounting systems and provide recommendations to IT team for performance improvements.
Generate financial reports and statements to Managers for review.
Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2+ years of experience in accounting or related field.
Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and financial software programs.
High proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP, SEC rules and regulations including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Experience with creating financial statements and financial reporting.
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
