What you will be doing:
- Execute daily accounting tasks, including maintaining general ledgers
- Assist in the monthly close process by posting journal entries and reconciling accounts, investigate irregularities, and provide recommended solution
- Apply a strong understanding of GAAP and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies
- Monitor, prepare, and communicate financial reports in accordance with due dates
- Keep management aware of any unusual operation or financial occurrences and/or significant deviations
- Identify opportunities to improve tools, procedures, and the internal control framework, and collaborate on solutions
- Work closely with Accounting Manager and perform other duties within the functional area as assigned
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree program in related field i.e., Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, manufacturing industry experience is preferred, but not required
- CPA license, or working towards obtaining CPA
- Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Excel is must
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills, accuracy, and organization
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills
- High standards of ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive information
- Self-starter with a strong sense of personal accountability and ownership in their work
- Ability to carry out assigned projects to completion with minimal supervision
- Ability to exercise good judgement, show initiative, and be proactive
- Ability to learn new concepts and technology quickly while seeking assistance from a strong and committed peer group
