Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and assisting with the preparation of financial statements. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time.
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial records to ensure accuracy.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
• Participate in audits, both internal and external, by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Stay current with changes in accounting standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience; CPA certification or progress toward certification is a plus.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
