We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Staff Accountant to join our vibrant team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity for an individual with a knack for numbers and a passion for the marketing industry. You will be playing a pivotal role in our finance department, directly influencing the financial health and strategy of our company. You will be working closely with our team to ensure that our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities:
As a Staff Accountant, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Preparing and posting journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
2. Conducting monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
3. Assisting in the preparation and coordination of the audit process.
4. Assisting with the month-end close procedures and post-closing reporting.
5. Preparing sales and use tax returns in a timely and accurate manner.
6. Managing the company's fixed assets and maintaining accurate depreciation schedules.
7. Analyzing financial reports for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO's attention.
8. Collaborating with the finance team to improve financial procedures.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel.
4. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Experience with financial software and databases.
6. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
7. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
