The Staff Accountant is responsible for routine to complex accounting work related to the preparation and maintenance of financial records and compiling various financial statements following all accounting principles and government regulations, with a focus on Accounts Receivables.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The below list reflects the general details necessary to describe the principle and essential functions of the position and shall not be construed as the only duties that may be assigned for the position.
- Assists Controller and Accounts Receivable Manager with payment application and customer account reconciliations.
- Compiles and analyzes financial information in order to prepare journal entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and documenting business transactions.
- Communicates with customers to provide financial records including invoices and account statements.
- Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and reviews and verifies balance sheet, profit and loss statement, inventory reports, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.
- Evaluates subsidiary journals for obvious errors and omissions and enters corrected data into the general ledger.
- Performs all tasks associated with the general ledger, i.e. enters monthly journal entries, executes monthly closing entries, executes month-end general ledger.
- Performs monthly closing of unbilled revenue, adjustments to closed orders, billing summary and analysis.
- Assists with JSOX reporting
- Performs year-end close out of accounts
- Assists with bi-annual physical inventory process
- Performs other related duties as assigned including maintaining business records
- Assists Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable with various processing and reconciling activities

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, or related field
- 1 to 4 years of related experience
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and use of ERP system (preferably Epicor)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working for a subsidiary of an international company
- Experience working in the machine tool, capital equipment, or manufacturing industry
- Bilingual (Spanish or Japanese)
