POSITION SUMMARY
The Staff Accountant - A/P is responsible for overseeing the accounts payable operations, focusing on efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness in vendor payments and financial transactions. This role involves executing A/P processes, refining A/P procedures and controls, and ensuring seamless integration with NetSuite accounting software. Collaboration and communication with other departments and external vendors is key to maintaining fiscal accuracy and efficiency.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for full-cycle professing of accounts payable
- Perform journal entries
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities
- Prepare financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations
- Assist with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits
- Prepare account analysis and reports related to various general ledger accounts
- Respond to inquiries from management and ad-hoc reporting requests
- Assist with special projects, including workflow process improvements
- Other ad hoc projects and duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance
- 2+ years of private or public accounting experience
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume, multi-entity environment
- Proficiency in NetSuite accounting software, with a strong understanding of its AP functionalities, is preferred
- Thorough understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Precise, detail-oriented approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
