Staff Accountant — Ann Arbor, Michigan
The job will support general accounting and accounts payable processing for North America. Specific details are listed below:
Responsibilities:
• Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files as well as reconciling accounts
• Support month end close activities and accruals
• Assist with preparation of consolidated internal and external financial statements
• Answer financial and accounting questions by researching into and interpreting data
• Ensure proper recording of all outgoing banking activity
• Support sales tax reporting
• Perform, review and manage the entire accounts payable process
• Submit all invoices and required back up to ACPA for processing
• Daily monitor the Accounting Email in-box and address all general accounting and accounts payable questions in a timely manner
• Communicate effectively with external and internal business partners to resolve issues
• Complete accounts payable workflows ensuring proper approvals are obtained
• Responsible for imaging and record retention of all accounts payable documents
• Complete other projects and tasks as assigned
Requirements:
• Must not require sponsorship to work in the United States now or in the future
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years' experience with general accounting and accounts payable processing
• Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office, including Excel skills
• Ability to analyze financial data and derive actionable conclusions
• Strong communication, teamwork and follow-through skills
• Ability to interface with various individuals/levels within the organization
• Perform work accurately and in a time efficient manner, with strong attention to detail
• Ability to effectively prioritize a varied workload of concurrent and shifting priorities
