About the Job
Our Senior Engineer works with our Distinguished Engineer and Staff Engineers to innovate and build new systems, improve, and enhance existing systems as well as identify new opportunities to apply your knowledge to solve critical problems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Production Readiness Review (PRR) process and ensuring the robustness and stability of our production systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in IT service management practices, DevOps, GitHub, and experience in architecting, designing, building automation, and workflows. Exceptional communication skills and expertise in continuous delivery (CI/CD) and cyber security practices are essential for this role. Moreover, hands-on experience with Sharepoint and the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps & Power BI) is required.

$80,000.00 - $230,000.00
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Position Responsibilities
As a Senior Engineer, you will:
Oversee the Production Readiness Review (PRR) process to ensure the readiness of our production systems
- Collaborate with software engineers and architects to design and implement highly available and scalable systems Implement and maintain IT service management practices and DevOps practices to enhance the reliability and resiliency of our systems
- Architect, design, and build automation solutions and workflows to improve operational efficiency and system stability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and PRR stakeholders, to drive continuous improvement and ensure successful production deployments
- Utilize excellent communication skills to effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Be able to negotiate timeline and effectively communicate with the stakeholders and leadership team on high priority deliverables according to the project plans
- Utilize hands-on experience with Sharepoint, Azure DevOps and Microsoft power platform (Power Automate, Power Apps & Power BI) to develop and maintain customized solutions
- Collaborate with product managers, team members, customers, and other engineering teams to solve our toughest problems Develop and execute technical software development strategy for the Platform Engineering domain including Service Management, Business Continuity, Recovery, Incident Response and Paging platforms
- Accountable for the quality, usability, and performance of the solutions
- Deep hands-on experience in complex system design and data pipeline and architectures, scale and performance, tuning, with good knowledge on Docker and Kubernetes
- Consistently share best practices and improve processes within and across teams
- Willing to take on-call and operational support
Qualifications
- Knowledge in Azure, Amazon and or Google Public vs. Hybrid Cloud (On-Prem K8 Cluster)
- Proven experience as an SRE engineer or in a similar role
- Extensive knowledge of IT service management practices, cyber security and DevOps practices
- Strong expertise in architecting, designing, and building automation solutions and workflows
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Hands-on experience with Sharepoint and the Microsoft power platform (Power Automate, Power Apps & Power BI)
- Experience in architecting, designing, building automated platform solutions, Advanced data analytics using Open-Source technologies & databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra ,etc. are a big plus.
- Experience with continuous delivery (CI/CD) principles and tools
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve complex issues
- Proactive mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, AWS DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate) will be a plus
- Experience with JSON, shell scripting
- Advance knowledge of at least one modern OOP languages such as Go, Python, Java, etc.
- Advance knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript is preferred
- Understand open-source databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc., familiar with No-SQL databases like Cassandra, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, etc.
- Experience in architecting, designing, building automation, workflows, custom objects/apps, declarative functionality, triggers, migration tools in BMC Helix platform and transition such platform to Open Source is a big plus.
- Experience building and configuring flows, and process builders
- Strong understanding of web service integration (GRPC / REST) and enterprise middleware integration tiers
- Ability to articulate channel dataflow and process flow including email, messaging, chat, mobile Push and SDK's
- Excellent communication skills - needs to be able to lead projects from the front and interact with clients and sponsors on a regular basis
- Experience partnering with engineering teams and transferring research to production
- Experience with continuous delivery (CI/CD) and Infrastructure as Code
- In-depth knowledge of CS data structures and algorithms
- Experience solving analytical problems with quantitative approaches
- Experience with Windows Server Administration and Windows Event Log
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
- Willing to work on both fast development and operation environment
- Knowledge of developer tooling across the software development life cycle (task management, source code, building, deployment, test automation and related tools, operations, real-time communication)
- Knowledge in big data and streaming data pipeline architecture (Lambda/Kappa) and K8 cluster
- Experience in open-source tools like GIT/Jenkin/CircleCI, and knowledge in Terraform/Ansible is a plus
Experience:
- 6+ years of professional experience in software development, platform architecture, administration, governance, infrastructure management, installation, and maintenance of the hardware, software, and network systems
- 4+ years of experience in open-source frameworks
- 3+ years of experience with architecture and design
- 3+ years of experience with Power Platform, Azure DevOps, SharePoint and Dataverse
- 4+ years of professional experience in software development, platform architecture, administration, governance, infrastructure management, installation, and maintenance of the hardware, software, and network systems
- 3+ years of experience with architecture and design
- 2+ years of experience in open-source frameworks
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
Annual Salary
$80,000.00 - $230,000.00
