KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for a Sr Workday Analyst: gather reqs, config (BPF / EIB), support, w/ Core HCM / HR, comp & security required
The primary function of the Senior Analyst, People Systems is to provide configuration and technical support for the Workday HCM application. Reporting to the Director of People Systems, this role will be part of a collaborative HRIS team that supports People technology portfolio, including Workday, Cornerstone (Learning), ICIMS (ATS), and Anaplan (Incentive Comp).
As a Senior Analyst, you will act as a Workday subject-matter-expert and lead the design, configuration, testing and deployment of innovative solutions that deliver process efficiencies and an optimal end-user experience. Key to this role is partnering with various stakeholders across the organization, including IT and Finance for complex integrations and data management.
Workday is used for core HR, payroll, time tracking, compensation, advanced compensation (with monthly incentives w/ 12+ variations), and benefits. We do NOT use it for performance management or talent management. Our team members are not focused on only 1 core function, but instead span ALL.
Responsibilities
- Provides daily operational support of Workday HCM application requests, inquiries, and tickets.
- Configures Workday HCM, with a focus on core HCM, compensation, security and reporting. Ensures ideal system configuration to drive operational and process efficiency.
- Develops Workday reports and dashboards, working proactively with end-users to design and deploy innovative metrics and insights.
- Provides in-depth analytical support to understand business processes and user requirements, identify gaps, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend changes.
- Participants in all phases of systems' deployment lifecycle, working closely with stakeholders in upfront planning, documenting business requirements, designing technical specifications, and developing deployment plans.
- Leads small to medium sized projects, collaborating with cross functional teams to drive Workday and process improvements. Follows standard project methodology (SDLC and/or Agile) and ensures documentation of the process and results.
- Collaborates and builds relationships with the People team (People System Operations, Payroll, Benefits, People Relations, Recruiting, Talent, Learning & Development, Process Improvement), as well as IT and Finance.
- Trains end users on new and existing processes and develops/maintains reference guides and procedures.
- Participates in bi-annual Workday releases and proactively manages changes with end user and process owners.
- Stays up to date with latest industry research for HR technology, including RPA and AI. Actively participates in Workday Community and other forums to ensure optimal optimization of Workday.
- Ensures data integrity thru active auditing and monitoring of data and integrations and complies with security and system change control/governance.
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT/MIS, Human Resources, or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of degree.
- At least 4 years' experience as an Analyst with Workday HCM application, with Workday HCM (business processes), compensation and security configuration essential.
- Workday skills must include:
- Ability to gather requirements for configuration
- Configuration skills including business processes (BPF) and enterprise interface builder (EIB)
- Upgrades / patching / testing
- Production support
- Commitment to data quality / integrity
- Security considerations
- Solid understanding of People/HR processes and data, with demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills with an attention to detail
- Understands and translates complex business rules and requirements into workable application solutions, with ability to then communicate succinctly and professionally to HR and business stakeholders.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a range of people at all levels of the organization and be comfortable presenting and communicating to a variety of colleagues.
- Experience with systems lifecycle and project methodology, including facilitating and preparing specifications, process flows, test plans, and cutover plans.
- Excellent consultative, customer service, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, prioritize and handle a multitude of competing priorities.
- Exercises confidentiality, professionalism, and independent judgement.
Preferred
- Experience in a multi-regional healthcare, retail, or dental company.
- Master's Degree in Business, IT/MIS, Human Resources, or related field.
- Workday Pro Certified (HCM Core, Compensation, Security, Reporting).
- Experience with Applicant Tracking, Learning and Talent systems.
Compensation depends on experience but is typically $75-135K plus 10% bonus.
