PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Overall responsibilities are the following:
- Support the head of IT regarding the infrastructure platform executables and upgrades.
- Implementation and Management of IT network infrastructure changes in an operating facility.
- Support and maintain the networking environment on both the IT and OT layers of the network.
- Implement and execute remote network monitoring via standard monitoring practices.
- Resolve networking incidents within agreed SLA's
- Implement change on networking environment without unplanned service interruption
- Ensure optimum health and operation of networking systems and environment
- Ensure full compliance to cyber security configurations and standards
- Provide 7x24 robust, secure and cost-efficient networking infrastructure services by eliminating single points of failure and legacy equipment.
- Keep up to date with new networking technologies and how this enables new industrial technologies inclusive of virtual switching
- Responsible for the IT service delivery for network as a whole.
- Primary point of contact with contractors' experts to drive the standardization of the local hardware platforms ensuring alignment with global standards
- Driving cyber security compliance and excellence for the terminal in alignment with regional strategy
- Ensuring robust business continuity, redundancy and High availability processes and disaster recovery plans for the terminal
- Actively work to ensure the achievement of the agreed SLAs.
- Build up excellent IT service management and IT network infrastructure skills and expertise within the local IT team
- Effectively communicates within the IT team for alignment and to reach agreement on conflicting priorities.
- Coordinates the Infrastructure upgrades and patching agenda ensuring no disruption of operations and following the proper change control process.
- Maintain standard 24x7 network and automation monitoring services
- Creating and maintaining network flow diagrams for all business applications that meet industry standards.
- Follow technology innovations in the network and virtualization domain to advise on applicability within Pier 400.
- Responsible for supporting of the Data Center Core network infrastructure management process to ensure a high available environment to meet automation demands.
- Adopt and implement the latest Data Center management techniques as part of the modernization agenda.
- Main Interface with the automation team to provide guidance for hardware fixes that are configured from the terminal infrastructure landscape
- Actively contributor on the troubleshooting calls for Major Incidents arise to restore business operations as soon as possible.
- Supports the root cause analysis for major incidents impacting the terminal operations and ensure identified countermeasures are deployed as planned.
CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Necessary to perform the requirements of the position:
- Education - University or higher vocational degree and certification in network Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline is preferred.
- Experience - Minimum five (5) years of complex network platforms management and implementation, large scale networks experience is preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years of related project handling/coordination experience and process documentation.
- Operational Technology hardware and integration experience is a must.
- Skills - the following are strongly recommended/critical:
- In deep knowledge of Cisco hardware, implementation, and support.
- CCNA as a must - CCIE prefer
- Platforms, Networking, and protocol (TCP/IP, Profibus, ProfiNET, ASI, CAN-Bus)
- Extensive understanding of a wireless connectivity and Lte environments.
- ITIL V4 Certified is recommended.
