The Senior UX Designer will be a key member of the sweetgreen product team, responsible for leading the conceptualization of customer-facing features, including ordering website, kiosk, and mobile app updates and the development of new interactive elements that will improve our understanding of our customers. This role involves close collaboration with various departments to ensure that the design aligns with the company's brand approach and enhances the overall customer experience. This role requires a deep understanding of UX principles, proficiency in design tools, and experience in evolving and enhancing an existing app.
Your Responsibilities
- UX Design: Drive the creation of intuitive, seamless user experiences across digital platforms. This includes conducting user research, reviewing personas with product managers, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing to inform design decisions.
- Vision for Customer Engagement: Define, articulate, and champion the future vision for how customers onboard, subscribe, and engage with sweetgreen to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Research-Driven Design: Conduct customer research and usability testing to gather insights, identify needs, and validate design decisions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams to align design strategies with business objectives and technical constraints.
- Leading future state: Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and design trends to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
Your Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in UX design roles. Ideally a mix of startup and larger company.
- At least 2 years of experience working on consumer mobile applications
- Strong portfolio showcasing your UX design process and outcomes, with a focus on customer-facing digital products.
- Proven experience in UX design and prototyping with Figma, including usability testing.
- Excellent understanding of design principles, customer-centered design processes, and web accessibility standards.
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and customer feedback to present design concepts clearly and inform design decisions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with team members and internal stakeholders.
