Job Title : Sr.UNIX/Linux Engineer

Rate : $43/hr on W2

Job Description:
Required Skills:
7 to 10 years of experience with Linux/Unix systems administration
Extensive hands on experience with RedHat Linux and AIX is a must
Hands on experience with Virtualization (VMware)
Hands on experience with tools like Puppet/ Chef is highly desirable
Shell scripting and/or Perl skills for system administration
Excellent documentation skills
Hands on experience with Client DL class, Client Blade servers and IBM P series server hardware is essential
Ability to physically install / decommission of servers is a must
Monitors system performance and makes suggestions to improve overall performance
Participation in IT projects as technical lead or member based on core competencies
Weekly "On-Call schedule participation (once every 7 weeks)
Keep up with industry trends and best practices
Experience with SUN servers is preferred
Chef or Puppet configuration management software experience is a huge plus
Middleware Administration support for Web Methods and Web logic is highly preferred
Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
