The Sr Technician, Tech Operations Support professional provides IT support to MissionSquare employees, by:
- Staffing the TechOps help desk line and assisting callers with issues
- Providing deskside support for equipment in the office
- Performing the off-boarding TASKs
Essential Functions for this role include:
- Responds to telephone calls, email and other requests for technical support. Tracks and monitors problems to ensure timely resolution.
- Handles issue/question escalations from more junior team members
- Deploys, maintains, supports and upgrades desktop PC, hardware, software, operating systems and distributed printers.
- Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals. Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems.
- Ensure service delivery adherence to established service level agreements.
- Maintains accurate hardware inventory.
- Supports the technical skill growth of more junior team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
If you have the following skills, we encourage you to apply:
At least 3 years of experience in computer technical support including the ‘hands on’ resolution of technical problems in an IT help desk environment.
- Knowledge of PC/LAN Hardware and software implementation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong customer services orientation
- Solid workstations configuration and troubleshooting for Windows XP, DOS
- Knowledge of Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 and Macintosh
- Working knowledge of Microsoft-Office, Active Directory, eDirectory, Lotus Notes, Netscape
- Troubleshooting network/application issues in Windows/Novell environment
- Experience with Unix, Oracle
