Sr Technical Infrastructure Program Mgr, OpsTech Engineering - Amazon

Description Amazon OpsTech Engineering is seeking an experienced Sr Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (TIPM) for our team. Amazon teams and systems create a complex ecosystem with coordination challenges for large initiatives. As the Sr TIPM of Engineering, you will need to coordinate across this network of teams and own delivery of cross organization initiatives. Using your technical background, you will need to understand implementation challenges of each organization and team, and find solutions while also earning trust with senior management to drive adoption from the top down. These efforts require you to work with multiple teams in and/or across organizations. - You are accountable for the overall strategy of a large program. You successfully manage all stages (from concept to delivery). Your program meets business goals and/or shows measurable improvements in your customer's experience, business or employee efficiency or execution, compliance adherence, financial or other metrics, etc. - You understand the interdependencies and functionality of the technologies you work with (e.g. customer requirements, deployment constraints, design limitations, operational support requirements). You influence team priorities and business strategy through data-supported contributions. You are able to make a case for project priorities, resource allocation, and/or appropriate program adoption, to achieve a desired business outcome, resolve a technical deficiency, or unblock delivery. - You communicate ideas effectively, verbally and in writing, to a wide range of audiences including Directors and VPs. You foster a constructive dialogue, harmonize discordant views, and lead the resolution of contentious issues (build consensus). You partner successfully with customers, stakeholders, and engineering teams. - Your program management practices set a great example to others. About the team This role is specifically to manage the Move off CORP project for the Fulfillment Amazon Robotics/AFT/OpsTechIT organizations. It is a large multi-year initiative, involving 50+ teams, and with significant technical complexity and visibility. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Austin, TX, USA | Bellevue, WA, USA | Boston, MA, USA | Nashville, TN, USA Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of technical product or program management experience - 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience - 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience - Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules Preferred Qualifications - 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience - Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules - Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership - 3+ years of analytical, quantitative, communication, and presentations experience - Experience in querying databases and building visualization dashboards. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,300/year in our highest geographic market.
