This can be a remote position but candidate must live and work in the US in Eastern or Central Time Zone.
The Technical Consultant verifies ACI solutions are fit for purpose to meet the client's requirements for specific projects. They will validate and test a client's solution or configuration, reproduce issues found in a customer's environment recommending workarounds or fixes where possible, revisesimulators based on ACI products and work on small to largesized projects in support of ACI's Real Time Payments Solutions with a focus on high value payments.
A day in the life of a Technical Consultant:
- Responsible for providing support to our customers on ACI's Real Time Payments System (RTPS) product. The RTPS product is a critical application relied upon by customers around the world.
- May spend 95% of their time working on customer issues that are raised and logged by the customer. These issues may be related to questions regarding product functionality, customizations, or potential software/application gaps or defects.
- While replicating customer issues, the TC will be responsible for vetting an issue and ensuring the supporting documentation has been provided and setting up the ACI internal environment to match the customer's environment and configuration. They will use a variety of tools and simulators to emulate the customer's interfaces, and document the detailed steps involved in replicating a defect where applicable.
- Responsible for providing a workaround (a temporary solution), and a permanent resolution (i.e., training issue, set up issue at the bank, operator error) for an issue.
- Keep detailed records on the case status and record, track, and document the problem and all decisions made, and actions taken, from beginning to final resolution as well as actively communicate with the customer every step of the way.
- Operate across all ACIs solutions, and as such are expected to be able to operate and configure the solutions in a client like manner; navigate through GUIs, interrogate log files to verify test results and investigate errors working with other technical resources to execute appropriate remedial actions.
- Work closely with the Solution Architect to understand the customer's business requirements and test the customer configuration and/or customizations.
- Customer facing and work with customers to support the testing phase during a project lifecycle implementation, reproduce issues encountered in production, and help support testing of ongoing maintenance patches and customer enhancements as needed.
- May also be assigned to internal initiatives to drive improvements in quality of ACI solutions and preparations for future clients' projects.
- Understand and Adhere to all Corporate Policies to include but not limited to ACI Code of Ethics and Global Information Security.
Minimum Requirements:
- Specific knowledge of the financial industry and appropriate requirements such as high value wire payments etc.
- Strong Wires/Money Transferdomain experience - RTGS, SWIFT, FED, CHIPS, CHAPS, SEPA, Target, Target2, ISO2022, etc.
- Understanding of payment-based messaging systems
- Understanding of ISO 20022 interface standards
- Familiarity with standard test management solutions such as HP Quality Center and JIRA
- A working knowledge of some or all the following platforms: HP NonStop, UNIX platforms, primarily AIX, IBM z/OS, Linux
- Capable of makingconfiguration changes totest simulators.
- Ability to understand customer requirements, ACI testing standards and existing ACI testing tools needed for replicating scenarios.
- To be able to effectively manage, execute and validate tests as per ACI standards, making changes to simulators when required.
- Capable of defining appropriate test cases and data.
- Capable of using an analytical mind to develop solutions to allow automation of test scenarios.
- Ability to quickly familiarize oneself with and understand complex systems and environments.
- Ability to understand our client's business requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios.
- Ability to apply experience, improving the existing process and promoting best practices.
