Base: $95 -115k + Bonus, great benefits
Job Details:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Technical Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Energy industry. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers the opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals in a fast-paced and challenging environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical accounting functions of the company, including financial reporting, quarterly and month-end closing, and other reconciliation experience.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Technical Accountant, your primary duties will include:
1. Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with SEC regulations.
2. Conducting thorough account reconciliations and ensuring accurate reporting of all financial data.
3. Managing debt schedules and liaising with lenders to ensure optimal financial arrangements.
4. Participating in the month-end and quarter-end close processes, including the preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analyses.
5. Providing technical accounting expertise to various business units and assisting in the implementation of new accounting policies and procedures.
6. Participating in the preparation of quarterly reports (QoQ) and ensuring timely submission.
7. Assisting with internal and external audits by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
8. Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends and changes in accounting standards to ensure the company's compliance.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Technical Accountant position should possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical accounting role, preferably in the Energy, Construction, or Utility industry.
3. Strong knowledge of SEC regulations, SE1 close, accounting standards, and financial reporting.
4. Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
5. Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of management.
7. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
