About the Job
As a Sr. Technical Writer and Knowledge Management Specialist supporting VES, you will be responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining technical documentation and knowledge assets critical to the organization's success. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and customer support, to gather and synthesize complex technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation. This role will focus on creating operational guides, system documentation, and best practices, ensuring all content aligns with business goals and industry standards
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist Knowledge Manager(s) in leading, directing and reviewing technical activities associated with delivering and managing knowledge systems and tools, including knowledge repositories, company intranet and library resources.
- Act as liaison between the Knowledge Management team and Maximus business units.
- Interface with stakeholders to identify, analyze and research business needs and user requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers and project leads.
- Create documentation including business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, feature descriptions, user guides, process flows, wireframes and presentations.
- Participate in development of knowledge tools and approaches; contribute to scoping and planning, designing, testing and delivery.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- 5-7 years of relevant professional experience required.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
