Perform independent research, analysis, and planning on complex federal and state tax issues. Participate in the day-to-day activities of a tax research content team to identify and disseminate content on tax- related issues; ensure adherence to research standards and internal processes. Provide training and assistance to Associates.

- Participate in the day-to-day activities of a tax research content team to identify and disseminate content on tax related issues; ensure adherence to research standards; provide training and assistance to Associates.
- Perform independent research, analysis, and planning on complex federal and state tax issues.
- Research, analyze, evaluate, and answer technical tax questions
- Monitor and analyze new tax developments to determine effects.
- Develop written analysis of new tax law, rulings, case law, and regulations for dissemination to tax office associates, corporate associates, and the general public through media outreach opportunities.
- Research tax and financial issues and provides explanations, analysis and recommendations to other departments.
- Evaluate tax questions to ascertain the exact nature of issues, research applicable tax law and regulations, makes recommendations providing best tax treatment for the client while minimizing liability exposure.
- Support internal and external communications teams by writing, editing, and proofing communications for tax accuracy.
- Plan, research, develop, and write research projects and training materials related to tax topics, tax advice, or other financial issues.
- Ensure projects are completed within established time frame.
- Coordinate, develop, and/or assist in researching tax issues to support other departments.
- Provides technical assistance as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

It would be even better if you also had...- Experience with both individual and business returns including pass-through entities
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Credential regulated under Circular 230 (Enrolled Agent, CPA, or Attorney)
- A minimum of four years tax research experience.
- Operational knowledge of tax law and regulations sufficient to understand and explain elements of personal, corporate, partnership, fiduciary, estate, gift, and international taxation as well as IRS procedures.
- Knowledge of tax research principles, procedures and techniques.
- Ability to proof documents and publish documents online.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively research complex tax issues and effectively communicate findings.
- Ability to interpret, analyze and correctly formulate solutions to highly complex tax situations.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Writing skills sufficient to communicate technical tax information in a clear manner for educational and training materials.
- Ability to clearly explain complex tax situations.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse work group.
- Effective project management skills to complete assignments on time and within budget.
- Demonstrated critical conceptual and intellectual skills.
- Ability to use a systematic approach in solving problems through analysis and evaluation of alternative solutions.
