Title: Sr Systems / JIRA Lead
Requirement: Sr Systems /JORA Lead with a background as a certified JIRA administrator using Jira API's, Groovy, Service Management and Confluence.
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Staff-Level Jira Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall administration, configuration, and support of our Jira instance. This includes managing and customizing workflows, permissions, and integrations to ensure the efficient and effective use of Jira across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Jira Administration:
- Manage, configure, and maintain Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence.
- Customize Jira projects, workflows, screens, fields, and issue types based on business needs.
- Ensure optimal performance and availability of the Jira environment.
- Perform regular system audits and implement best practices for system management.
User Support:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Jira-related issues.
- Conduct training sessions and create documentation for end-users and administrators.
- Assist users in creating custom reports, dashboards, and filters.
System Integration:
- Integrate Jira with other tools and platforms the organization uses (e.g., Slack, GitHub, Jenkins).
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation workflows using Jira APIs and other scripting languages.
Security and Permissions:
- Manage user access, roles, and permissions to ensure data security and compliance.
- Conduct regular reviews of user permissions and project access.
Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with various teams to gather requirements and implement process improvements.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve system efficiency and user experience.
Upgrades and Maintenance:
- Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and migrations.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Jira Administrator or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence.
- Proficient in using Jira APIs, Groovy scripting, and other automation tools.
- Experience with integrating Jira with other software tools and platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Jira Administrator certification (e.g., Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator).
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with other Atlassian products (e.g., Bitbucket, Bamboo).
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
