Position Overview
This position is part of Application algorithm team developing Controls and Software logic for ECU applications and responsible for software requirements, design, coding, testing, software integration and releases.
The Engineer will also have exposure to or participate in the development of closed loop vehicle HIL system that is a critical tool in controls development and test.

Basic Requirements
This position is part of Application algorithm team developing Controls and Software logic for ECU applications and responsible for software requirements, design, coding, testing, software integration and releases.
The Engineer will also have exposure to or participate in the development of closed loop vehicle HIL system that is a critical tool in controls development and test.
Roles And Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Development of control algorithms utilizing embedded software development process
- Understanding of Automotive Software Development Lifecycle for ECU s like Engine management system.
- Validation of EMS s application software at function and system level to meet requirements.
- Writing Test cases and execution. Capturing the deviations and gaps in requirements, design and test reports for better improvements.
- Logging the defects found in validation process and consolidate the same to requirements and design teams.
- Preparing the design verification plan and report (DVP&R) as per the requirements for both components and system validation.
- Test bench set up and Validating the functionality of each component with respect to requirements on HIL and Vehicle.
- Updating the DVP&Rs during the validation with the simulating conditions, test records and the status for each test cases.
- Logging, Analyzing the defects and deviations in project tools for metric analysis.
- Performing review with the team for DVP&R write-ups and executions along with their defects and deviations with respect to requirements.
- Hands on experience with configuration management tools and Requirements gathering tools/process control tools.
- Write and/or review system and subsystem specifications and requirements from vehicle/customer level requirements.
- Development of system requirements, design, simulation, and tests of various mechatronic systems
- Development of appropriate documentation to support process compliance.
- Lead / participate in issue resolution activities during development, validation, and vehicle launch
- Experience in unit testing, functionality, system and integration level testing.
- Experience in testing on the vehicle and HIL (simulated engine setup at lab).
- Experience in optimization methods in software for better quality of product.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
- At least 12 years of experience in product design/development or new technologies
- At least 2 years of experience leading new technologies or specialized technologies
- Master s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
- At least 8 years of experience in product design/development or new technologies
- At least 2 years of experience leading new technologies or specialized technologies
