The Senior Systems Engineer will provide direct program management and engineering support to a Department of Defense customer for research, engineering, prototyping, development, rapid acquisition and project execution.
• Work in small, targeted teams to identify emerging capabilities, organize studies and concept development, rapidly prototype and deliver advanced capabilities to the warfighter
• Meet with third-party technology vendors and evaluate performers from the solicitation and proposal process through technology delivery in support of sponsor requirements
• Build, lead, inspire and enable a diverse research and development team to carry out foundational, novel and advanced research
• Evaluate contractor performance and perform quantitative evaluations of results
• Communicate highly technical problems and solutions from engineers to senior DoD leadership
• Explore and understand state-of-the-art technical developments and emerging technologies to understand how projects should adapt and grow over time
• Work as a trusted, strategic partner with the customer by delivering actionable insights about emerging technologies as well as with technically-minded external partners
• Provide oral and written briefings to senior DoD leadership, create written reports detailing assessment findings, and make recommendations to DoD customers and external partners

• 10-15 years' work experience in DoD related IT, cybersecurity, software engineering, and systems engineering
• B.S. degree in a scientific, engineering or other applicable technical discipline
• Expert in technology infrastructure, integration and cybersecurity systems design, deployment, and test
• Extensive knowledge and experience in applying technology infrastructure and cybersecurity concepts, cybersecurity architecture and engineering principles, security of networks, systems, applications and data
• Understanding of operating system internals
• Experience with hardware or weapon system prototyping
• Experience with one or more programming languages (C/C++, Java, Python, etc.)
• Experience with cyber vulnerability research and analysis
• Experience with cyber network exploitation and offensive and defensive cyber operations
Highly Qualified Candidates Will Have:
• Masters of Science Degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field
• Strong understanding of reverse engineering and/or exploit development
• Experience with one or more assembly languages (x86/64, ARM, MIPS, etc.)
• Experience with disassemblers (IDA Pro, Binary Ninja, Ghidra)
• Experience with software protection and patch development and binary or malware analysis
• Experience with firmware development and debugging
• Knowledge of anti-reverse engineering techniques
• Knowledge of embedded systems
Clearance requirement: Top Secret with SCI (TS/SCI)
