• Install, configure, & optimize software and hardware systems (including servers, networks, cloud-based services, and storage) for functionality & security
• Resolve advanced technical issues and provide expert-level support for clients' networks, servers, and high-end SANs
• Troubleshoot, upgrade, & resolve issues during outages and emergencies to minimize downtime
• Implement secure firewalls, backup solutions, and access controls to safeguard critical systems
• Optimize system performance and reliability through proactive solutions and continuous upgrades
• Update & maintain detailed records of system configurations and network mappings as projects are completed
• Guide & collaborate with IT staff and clients to ensure high-quality service and timely project delivery
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry trends to bring innovative solutions to the team
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations through regular staff & client check-ins

Our Ideal Sr. Systems Administrator:

• Experienced: 7+ years' experience in a senior-level IT administration role with hands-on expertise in diverse IT environments. Familiarity with the manufacturing industry is a plus.
• Certifications: Cisco, Microsoft, or similar certifications are preferred but not required.
• Technical Expertise: Expert-level knowledge in administering Windows servers, virtualization technologies, storage systems, and cloud-based services is required. Ample experience in network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and protocols, and experience with Linux operating systems is also required.
• Mentoring: Someone who loves to coach and lead, encouraging everyone to give their best and find new & better ways to accomplish work. A strong communicator who inspires others.
• Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical information to teammates and non-technical clients. Demonstrates respect, patience, and active listening in all interactions.
• Analytical Problem-solver: Adept at diagnosing and resolving complex IT issues with precision and speed. Displays initiative, thrives under minimal supervision, and excels in critical thinking.
• Active: Comfortable with occasional physical demands, such as bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record for five years.
