Qualifications and responsibilities for this Sr. Structural Plan Check Engineer opportunity include:

Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering, with a focus on structural analysis and design.
Registered as a professional civil/structural engineer.
At least two years of experience in building design, inspection, or plan review.
Obtain ICC certification for Commercial Building Inspector within one year of employment.
Additional ICC certifications as Plans Examiner and Residential Building Inspector required.
Valid State of Alaska driver’s license.
Deep understanding of structural design principles and construction methods.
Familiarity with building codes, inspection procedures, and ability to interpret related laws and ordinances.
Skilled in reading and interpreting plans and specifications.
Capable of performing basic structural calculations.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to maintain effective relationships with various stakeholders.
Keen eye for identifying substandard workmanship and materials.

Salary: $95,000 - $117,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
