Sr. Structural Engineer - Selectek, Inc.

Our client in Alpharetta, GA,  is a leader in the oil and gas industry and has an exciting opportunity for an experienced structural engineer that is looking to take on a role as a project lead and mentor more junior engineers along the way. This senior Structural Staff Engineer supports structural design and engineering work. 
Responsibilities Include:

• Handles multiple projects acting as a lead for the project
• Designing foundations and structures that comply with governing codes and standards.
• The role will work hand in hand with other disciplines to identify and design support structures for cable trays, pumps, motors, buildings, and other similar structures.
• The engineer will also work to develop project scopes, schedules and budgets for design related tasks.  
• Perform advanced calculations and designs related to bolted and welded connections (AISC 360) as well as concrete and rebar detailing (ACI 318)  
• Performs calculations necessary to design complex structures i.e. manifolds & pipe racks with large dynamic loads.  
• Creating bid documents for equipment and services.
• Writing engineering reports. 
• Reviews work of junior technical staff within the department on projects to which he/she is assigned.  Responsible for the internal management of  projects and reporting on project status to management. 

Required:

• BS Degree with a focus in Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• 8 plus years as a Structural Engineer for industrial projects
• EIT, but PE Highly Preferred
• Experience Leading projects and assisting more junior staff.

Salary Range:$80k-$95k
This is a 6 month temp to hire, with the possibility of being a direct hire
