Yaskawa is currently seeking a Senior Strategic Account Representative for our Semiconductor OEM business. In this hybrid role, you will monitor customer request dates and forecasts and work closely with demand planning and supply chain management to expedite products and as necessary, work with engineering to find acceptable alternative products. Additionally this position will communicate to the customer items ready to ship and determine desired shipping requirements. You will create customs invoices, print labels, update customer portal as well as coordinate shipping needs such as air, boat, etc. to fill orders more efficiently. In this high visibility role, you will work closely with Yaskawa Japan regarding orders, forecasts, changes and expedite requests.
The Sr. Strategic Account Representative will also represent Inside Sales in weekly production planning meetings and assist demand-planning efforts through system and transaction maintenance, forecasting and monitoring of stock as well as via demand planning meetings. You will also monitors sales booking and billings in relationship to backlog and forecasts and work with outside sales team to maintain current and capture new business.
The successful candidate will have a degree in business or equivalent experience, as well as a minimum of 3 years of supply chain and four years of customer facing experience. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the industrial automation industry as well as the semiconductor industry as well as a technical orientation sufficient to support the sales of electrical and mechanical products. The perfect candidate will have a strong working knowledge of SAP, ability to communicate and negotiate with all levels of internal and external organizations. Proficiency with Japanese is highly desired but not required.

Job Summary
Responsible for achievement of the Semiconductor division’s OEM budgeted product sales by assisting and supporting the external and internal sales efforts of Yaskawa’s sales personnel. Supports/manages pre and post sales to ensure that excellent customer service is maintained.
Qualifications
· Degree in business, marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
· Minimum four years experience in customer operations preferred.
· Minimum three years of supply-chain planning experience preferred.
· Knowledge of drives, motion, machine tool industry.
· Technical orientation sufficient to support the sales of electrical and mechanical product.
· Knowledge of commercial & direct OEM sales methods and marketing aspects.
· Experience to include external contacts at executive level involving projects and problem solving of complex nature using high level of discretion and diplomacy.
· Experience in using good judgment, diplomacy, and tact to negotiate with others at various levels within the organization.
· Strong analytical and organizational skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Ability to build strong and long-term relationships with internal and external personnel involved with Semiconductor OEM Customers.
· Ability to work independently and initiate projects and execute to completion
· Advanced PC skills including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software.
· Has successfully completed inside sales training certification for both drives and motion.
· Professional self-presentation, verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interface at all levels.
· Detail orientated, have, good math skills and good organizational skills.
· Extensive knowledge of current business system - (ex. SAP)
· Excellent PC skills including spreadsheet, database, word processing, and forecasting software.
Description of Duties
· Monitors and works to meet customer request dates and forecasts by working with demand planning and supply chain management to expedite products and engineering to find acceptable alternative products if necessary.
· Receive spreadsheet with items ready to ship from the supplier. Communicate to customer items ready to ship and determine desired shipping requirements. Create customs invoice, print labels, update customer portal. Coordinate shipping needs such as air, boat, moving product to fill orders more efficiently.
· Work closely with Yaskawa Japan on customer orders, forecasts, changes, expedites.
· Participates in technical and sales training programs offered by Yaskawa.
· Understands bill of material, and works with product management to update and maintain BOM's, as well as customer part number updates for OEM’s.
· Represents Inside Sales in weekly production planning meetings optimizing flow of product to customers.
· Manage Customer Portal systems established by the Semiconductor OEM's
· Assist demand-planning efforts through system and transaction maintenance, forecasting and monitoring of stock. Attends demand planning monthly meeting reporting any changes in demand/future forecasts.
· Monitors customer orders and proactively contacts all customers to insure orders are placed in time to meet their demand.
· Effectively communicates with customers through various methods including written correspondence and reports.
· Identifies and resolves issues which impact overall customer satisifaction.
· Monitors sales booking and billings in relationship to backlog and forecasts. Works with appropriate personnel to insure accuracy and maximize sales performance.
· Works with finance to resolve customer billing disputes to reduce problem invoices and DSO.
· Supports outside sales force in efforts to capture new business.
· Takes appropriate actions to maintain current business, to monitor growth/budget.
· Builds relationships at various levels within customer organizations by phone contact, email, and customer visits.
· Maintains knowledge of the market in relation to segments and the competitors within these market segments.
· Assists in the development of work instructions pertaining to business processes.
· Ability to lead process improvement teams, assist supervisor in developing and revising current work instructions.
· Assist supervisor in team support by handling issues diplomatically and resolves difficult situations in a professional manner.
· Follows policies and procedures while conducting business in the best interest of the company.
· Works with product engineering groups to resolve technical and service issues.
· Identify and communicate any product problems affecting sales or customer relations
· Develop and conduct presentations for territorial visits to customers.
· Develops training programs and conducts training to improve processes in order to obtain customer satisfaction.
· Participate in company sponsored activities and special customer events.
· Assists inside sales reps to support customers with product problems and system configuration.
· Develops and utilizes product knowledge of motion control, drives, and machine tool, to make product substitutions and complete system formulations.
· Provides telephone assistance to customers on assigned product lines.
· Create inquiries and/or quotations for customer requests utilizing manuals, selection guides, and other product literature.
· Assist in training, assigning and monitoring work of the inside sales associates, and serve as a resource to others in resolution of complex problems and issues.
· Assists in establishing forecasted sales information through knowledge of customer product usage.
· Perform other duties as required.
