About the Job
- Work on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and perform all duties independently.
- Oversee efforts of less senior staff and responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to the Management, Administrative, and Professional (MAP) positions.
- MAP positions cover all other occupations within TSA that help keep operations running smoothly and efficiently; examples of these positions include: Accountants, Administrative Assistants, Budget Analysis, Financial Specialists, Human Resource (HR) Specialists, Information Technology Specialists, Intelligence Operations Specialists, and Medical Professionals.
- MAP positions can be found at TSA Headquarters, in the field, and in support of FAMS activities.

- Support high-profile and high-volume Merit Promotion recruitment activities.
- Apply knowledge and experience to support the quality control process; review work products and provide constructive corrections and recommendations for improvement as a method of on-the-job training for more junior-level staffing professionals.
- Review job analyses, assessment questionnaires, job opportunity announcements, ratings, and certificates.
- Serve as a Point of Contact (POC) for staff and clients to resolve escalated issues.
- Attend client meetings.
- May be responsible for performing job analysis, developing assessment questionnaires, and documenting evaluation criteria in accordance with Agency requirements; reviewing and adjudicating veterans' preference; reviewing applicant qualifications for the full range of agency occupations; and providing written justification for the same.
- Work as a part of a team and coach, mentor, and train HR Assistants and Specialists.
- May be responsible for overseeing team members, monitoring time and attendance, providing performance feedback.
- Use multiple automated staffing systems.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Experience performing staffing duties with USA Staffing Upgrade is required.
- Ability to apply and interpret Federal Staffing HR laws, policies, and agency-specific operating procedures.
- Attention to detail, data quality, and data integrity.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experienced in Excel and automated HR systems for data input is key.
- Must be organized and have excellent customer service skills.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the government-required security clearance.
- Ten (10) plus year of experience.
- Experience can be substituted for MA/MS degree.
