Role Summary:As a Sr. Staff Product Security Architect, you will help design systems and software for on-vehicle security for core vehicle software functions like OTA, diagnostics, and manufacturing. You will work closely with stakeholders from cross-functional teams to design those core security functions and build out requirements that drive development. You will also work closely with the various security development teams as an expert and build out code for these systems collaboratively and help ensure the spirit and function of the original design requirements are met. This role requires someone who can look at the big-picture needs of a software feature and help lay out a path to implement large, complex systems and get hands-on during development to see the feature to completion. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Security Engineering.
Responsibilities:Design security systems and solutions for connected vehicles and related products
Work with other teams and stakeholders to build security into features and products
Develop product security requirements that meet program needs while reducing risk
Work with development teams to ensure they meet requirements and validate them for each release
Continuously improve and adapt the security implementations to adapt to customer needs, program goals, and evolving technologies
Write and maintain complex technical documentation for both developers and non-technical people
Drive complex multi-team, cross-functional projects across multiple programs
Qualifications:
Education - Preferred to have a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar field preferred or equivalent applicable industry experience
Technical Skills
In-depth knowledge of embedded systems and real-time operating systems (RTOS)
Significant experience with Python and C development, Go and Rust a plus.
Experience with automotive networking interfaces and protocols (CAN, UDS, etc.)
Strong understanding of cryptographic principles and secure coding practices.
5+ years of experience working on embedded platforms
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals such as Ethernet, TCP/IP, Wireless Technologies
Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Bay Area, California Based Applicants: 265,000-331,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Irvine, California Based Applicants: 243,000-304800 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
