About the Job
- Optimize and characterize the optical performance of Coherent Products
- Define optical sub-assembly specification to achieved best in class coherent products
- Carry out System level Simulations using VPI simulator tool box
Education & Experience
Ph.D. Degree or M.Sc. Degree in the field of Physics or Electrical Engineering with a minimum 2 year experience in one of the following fields:
Fiber Optics Communication
Coherent Transceiver design
Coherent Optical Devices
Skills
The ideal candidate should have experience in the following areas:
- Full and detailed understanding of Coherent Fiber Optics Communication
- Hands on experience with coherent transceivers operating at 100Gbps, 200Gbs, 400Gbps and beyond
- Working knowledge with Fiber Optics system impairments: PDL, SOP, PMD, CD, Nonlinearity, 4-wave mixing, EDFA and Raman amplifier design
- Working knowledge of Coherent DSP designs
- Working knowledge using VPI simulation tool box
- Working knowledge with Matlab, Python and other similar SWs
- Working knowledge with optical devices fabricated in SiP or InP
- US Citizen ship or Green Card holders are highly preferred.
Working Conditions
Full Time, with some limited amount of travel.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in the PA/Horsham area. No other physical requirement
