About the Job
Maximus has an opening for a Sr. Specialist - Instructional Design, Content Development, within our TRICARE Military Health Insurance project.
The Sr Specialist - Instructional Designer oversees the creation and updating of curriculum, by working closely with management, facilitators and key stakeholders. The Sr Specialist acts as SME (subject matter expert) and coaches and supports Content Development Specialists.
Instructional Design, Content Development experience with the TRICARE Military Health program required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan resource allocation and monitor development progress through creation, assignment, and management of change and documentation tasks.
- Review curriculum updates and provide constructive feedback to authors on accuracy, relevance, innovation, and conformance to Adult Learning Theory principles.
- Develop new and innovative ways to design training materials that facilitate engaging training and follow Adult Learning Theory concepts, as well as create training agendas and develop assessments to measure effectiveness of curriculum and learner performance.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with both internal and external clients.
- Lead and facilitate meetings with internal and external clients and act as a subject matter expert regarding curriculum and content development.
- Review upcoming software and procedure changes and assess impacts on training curriculum.
- Develop training proposals and oversee the implementation of new and updated training.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of content areas as well as industry training and best practices.
Minimum Requirements:
- Master's degree in a relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience
required
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study with 8+ years of relevant professional experience

- e- Learning Instructional Design experience with the TRICARE Military Health program
- Experience with Articulate 360 LMS preferred
- Have the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance
- U.S. citizenship required by client
- Flexibility of work schedule to meet deadlines, goals and training needs including some
holidays as specified in the task order

- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
