Our Client, a leading player in the Tech Services industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Data Engineer to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong data professional to work on exciting and innovative projects, leveraging the latest technologies in data engineering. As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in our team, driving the design, implementation, and support of our data management systems. This position is NOT open for C2C/H1B candidates.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, construct, test, and maintain architectures such as databases and large-scale processing systems.
2. Collaborate with data scientists and architects on several projects.
3. Implement complex, scalable, and robust data pipelines to ingest and process data from various sources.
4. Leverage AWS cloud services for the deployment of data pipelines.
5. Utilize technologies such as AirFlow, Kafka, and Kubernetes for real-time data processing and task management.
6. Maintain and optimize our AWS DynamoDB database, ensuring its scalability and performance.
7. Work on containerization technologies for the deployment of applications.
8. Conduct troubleshooting and continuous improvements to our existing systems.
9. Ensure data security and compliance with industry regulations.
10. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, and be prepared to propose and implement new solutions that can benefit our business.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Data Engineer role or similar.
3. Proven experience with AWS cloud services, Kubernetes, and containerization technologies.
4. Solid experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools, specifically AirFlow and Kafka.
5. Extensive experience with databases, particularly AWS DynamoDB.
6. Proficient in scripting languages like Python, Java, or Scala.
7. Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and data serialization formats.
8. Experience with data ingestion and real-time data processing.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
10. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
11. A proactive approach to learning new technologies and keeping your skills updated.
12. A strong commitment to data security and privacy, with knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices.
