Sr. Software Development Engineer, Alexa Connected Devices - Amazon

Description It's truly Day 1 for our team in Alexa. This is your opportunity to build LLM-based experiences for Alexa On-the-go devices. You'll be an integral part of the team building new customer experiences using Android, iOS and AWS. You'll help design the overall architecture, own large chunks of design and development work for various components, and establish the technology processes and practices that will lay the groundwork for the organization as it grows. About the team The Alexa On-the-Go Experiences team is responsible to build software experiences for Alexa On-the-go devices. Team is responsible to contribute code to Alexa App by developing native Android and iOS components and using AWS to build new APIs We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Bellevue, WA, USA | Seattle, WA, USA Basic Qualifications - 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 4+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience - 4+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent - 4+ years of programming using a modern programming language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design experience - 4+ years industry experience building large scale software applications. The base pay for this position ranges from $134,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
