Responsibilities:Position Summary:

The Sr. SCM Systems Manager uses analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict and enhance Supply Chain Management (SCM) processes. The incumbent will have responsibility for assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations which support SCM planning and operations. The incumbent will also analyze the movement of goods and services throughout the end-to-end SCM pipeline, monitor current processes, identify and analyze gaps, and develop and/or recommend process improvements. The incumbent may work directly with those internal or external department stake holders, where needed, to implement those recommended process improvements. The incumbent will be expected to use their demonstrated experience, skills and knowledge of SCM database management and spreadsheet analyses to help the business improve cash flows (P2P, or “Procure to Pay”), inventory turns, employee productivity, and intra-departmental relationships, processes and efficiencies. The incumbent also has an important role in the planning, and carrying out of, large-scale / high visibility projects when and where needed, or assigned on as-needed basis.

Required Qualifications:
- Self-Motivated. Works proficiently & adeptly, whether independently, or as part of a strongly diverse team
- Professional communication skills are essential when conversing and collaborating with internal UCI Stakeholders, and / or External Stakeholders (Suppliers, Project liaisons, etc). This requires mandatory & clearly demonstrated abilities to work well and productively with others throughout the varying reporting levels within UCI, and their diverse backgrounds
- Highly knowledgeable working with MMIS systems, SCM processes, and varying methodologies (10 years + strongly preferred)
- High-Level end-to-end understanding of all aspects relating to SCM processes, teams, and respective areas of accountability / responsibility
- Experience working to improve all aspects of SCM by researching, developing, and/or implementing cutting edge and/or “Best Practice” SCM processes, systems, and Methodologies, Lean processes and/or Kaizen knowledge of processes and methodologies a strong plus
- Experience working in and maintaining databases using Microsoft Excel and other relevant company processes and systems
- Experience coordinating and collaborating large scale SCM end-to-end projects and initiatives throughout all levels of the organization strongly preferred (10 years+)
- Experience analyzing and improving SCM data, information, and all levels of SCM related processes (10 years + strongly preferred)
- Exceptional ability to conceptualize large-picture SCM projects and foresee challenge and needs to be addressed
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Bachelors' degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to learn, evaluate, recommend, and/ or utilize new(er) technologies, systems, and data analytic programs, to further improve upon SCM’s KPI’s
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
