About the Job
We are seeking a Senior SAP Training Specialist to join our team supporting our Internal Revenue Service (IRS) client. The selected candidate will use their previous knowledge and experience with SAP products to develop innovative training materials using SAP delivered tools and uPerform platforms. Will conduct hands on virtual training sessions.
Position is remote within US.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research and analyze client business requirements and software and procedure change requirements to determine training curriculum impacts.
- Lead and facilitate meetings with client stakeholders and act as a subject matter expert regarding the software applications and systems, training curriculum, and content development.
- Assess and develop course objectives and design deliverables including curriculum, training materials, and assessments for customized application modules.
- Develop innovative training materials using delivered tools and platforms - materials may include process instructions, transactional simulations, instructor guides, exercises with data, learner and curriculum assessments, performance metrics, and quick reference cards.
- Conduct hands-on training sessions for the community when changes or updates impact end user processing.
- Conduct hands-on new hire training sessions.
- Develop and/or maintain on-demand trainings delivered through the internal talent management system.
- Work collaboratively with SAP developers and business analysts to ensure success of the S/4 migration project
- Ensure appropriate training data is available in training environment.
- Responsible for obtaining the client's approval and sign-off of all curriculum and course materials
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Per contract requirements, Bachelor degree is required.
- Experienced in developing SAP procurement curriculum.
- Experienced in delivering group and individual instruction and training covering a range of technical, operational, and/or management areas in SAP FICO/AM/MM Procurement and Public sector Budgeting and Controlling.
- Experienced in developing training aids, including training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.
- Experienced in developing instructional materials including simulations, step-by-step procedures, and PowerPoint presentations
- Experienced in coordinating or performing administrative functions necessary to deliver and documenting training programs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred experience:
- Knowledge of IRS business systems and data
- Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology, including Scrum or Kanban processes
- Knowledge and experience with government implementations of SAP S/4 HANA
Additional requirements as per Contract/Client:
- Candidates must meet requirements to obtain and maintain an IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance (active IRS Moderate Risk MBI is a plus)
- Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for 3 years, and be Federal Tax compliant

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment.
