Job Description
Position: Senior Director, Small Business (SMB) Solutions Sales
We are looking for a seasoned, collaborative sales executive to lead a team of Small Business sales specialists supporting key issuing clients in the US market. This role focuses on driving sales, thought leadership, and client optimization efforts within an existing portfolio of clients, aiming to deepen partnerships through products, platforms, and services. Reporting to the VP, Head of Small Business for North America, you'll lead a team and manage a set of assigned clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership: Guide a team of sales specialists managing Small Business credit and debit issuer clients, and personally manage a portfolio of clients.
Sales and Engagement: Drive sales, education, and engagement, focusing on product offerings and initiatives across all market segments.
Client Relationships: Foster deep client engagements, conduct portfolio management and reviews, and provide issuer-specific recommendations based on market trends.
Collaboration: Work with internal stakeholders to refine and enhance Small Business products, partnerships, and platforms.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute annual strategic plans and key initiatives.
Industry Leadership: Lead efforts with potential and existing merchant Co-brand partners, and manage the strategy for Small Business presence at key events.
Team Development: Attract and retain a high-performing, diverse team of sales specialists.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
12+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 10+ years with an Advanced degree, or 5+ years with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications:
10 years in the card payments industry, MBA preferred.
4-6+ years in small business product, sales, or portfolio management.
Proven sales leadership and goal-exceeding track record.
Strong analytical skills, strategic insight, and presentation experience.
Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
Additional Information:
Work Hours: Varies based on department needs.
Travel: Up to 25% travel required.
Physical Requirements: Office setting, involving desk work, communication, and operation of standard office equipment.

Estimated salary range: $203,000 to $368,000 per year, including potential sales incentives, bonuses, and equity.
