Position Overview
This position’s primary responsibility is to analyze requests and requirements and then make changes or create requested enhancements to the AS400 to satisfy the request. Ability to create programs that work with and integrate AS400 to other software applications.
Responsibilities Include:
· Maintain and modify existing software using RPG ILE.
· Implement new software systems using the appropriate programming language.
· Analyze requests for programming, write functional and technical specifications to accommodate requested needs, and make necessary changes
to program code to accomplish desired results.
· Thoroughly test all program changes.
· Responsible for implementing operating system software changes.
· Adhering, maintaining, and enhancing current programming standards and IT control Policies.
· Provide functional and technical documentation internally and externally for review and maintenance.
· Provide technical assistance to end users.
· Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required.
· Proficient in reading/writing RPG code.
· Ability to analyze existing code to determine if existing code has flaws which are producing undesirable results.
· Ability to retain confidential information
· Ability to work independently utilizing sound judgement with minimal supervision.
