Role Summary:
As a Senior Accounts Payable Accountant, you will be integral to our finance team, focusing on managing accounts payable for our high-impact projects. You will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors, ensuring efficient processes and accurate financial reporting that support our ambitious growth plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Take charge of vendor onboarding and integration into our AP systems, ensuring seamless processing of invoices related to construction of energy storage projects.
Manage critical AP functions including 1099 processing, vendor setups, and financial reporting.
Lead the preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements and support financial audits with meticulous attention to detail.
Oversee the application of sales and use tax in accounts payable and contribute to improving our financial processes and systems.
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience in accounts payable and familiarity with GAAP principles.
Strong experience in managing AP systems particularly related to project development and construction contracts.
Proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
CPA or CMA certification is preferred but not required.
Exceptional skills in MS Excel, including macros, VBA, data queries, and pivot tables.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly to diverse audiences.
Prior experience in the renewable energy sector is an advantage but not mandatory.
