We are rapidly expanding and seeking a diligent Senior Accounts Payable Accountant to enhance our financial operations.
Role Summary:
As a Senior Accounts Payable Accountant, you will collaborate closely with the Accounting Leadership Team and interact with External Vendors, focusing on project-based accounts payable tasks throughout the organization. Your role is crucial in managing interactions with Third-Party Suppliers, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Treasury stakeholders. Responsibilities include overseeing high-volume invoice processing, 1099 payments, and assessing sales and use tax implications within our General Ledger system.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage vendor onboarding and integration into our AP ERP systems; handle the accounts payable for construction and related deliverables of energy storage projects.
Oversee 1099 processing and W9 setups.
Lead financial reporting tasks including maintenance of accounting journals, ledgers, and vendor payment terms.
Direct project contract accounting, preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements, and support of financial audits.
Guide the sales and use tax accounting processes related to accounts payable.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounts payable, familiar with GAAP principles.
Proven expertise in managing AP systems for project development, including EPC, construction, and service contracts.
Proficiency in financial software such as Quickbooks or NetSuite.
CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
Strong skills in vendor management and invoice processing.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, including macros, VBA, data queries, and pivot tables.
Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex financial data for stakeholders.
Previous exposure to renewable energy projects like solar, wind, or battery storage is highly desirable but not mandatory.
Familiarity with national energy power market tariffs and incentives would be advantageous.
