Job Title: Senior Quality Engineer
Contract Duration: 1 Year
Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday (on-site in Irvine, CA)
Pay Rate: Up to $63.72/hour
Position Overview:
The Senior Quality Engineer will oversee and manage the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) process to ensure timely closure and compliance with all relevant regulations and standard operating procedures. This role will involve collaborating with internal teams, leveraging technical skills, and utilizing various software tools to drive continuous improvement and maintain high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the CAPA process, ensuring all actions are closed within deadlines and comply with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Conduct root cause analyses to identify underlying issues and implement effective corrective and preventive measures.
- Ensure CAPA documentation is complete, accurate, and properly maintained in EQMS, Ignite, and JDE.
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional stakeholders to support CAPA-related activities and decision-making.
- Support the team's expanded responsibility for managing international CAPAs, as required.
- Provide technical guidance and quality expertise to project teams to enhance process improvements.
Work Environment and Schedule:
- Location: On-site in Irvine, CA, with potential hybrid flexibility (Pacific Time Zone).
- Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; overtime may occasionally be required based on project deadlines or CAPA timelines.
- Travel: No travel is required beyond occasional on-campus presence for meetings or specific tasks.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience:
- Strong background in CAPA management and quality assurance.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with quality systems in a regulated industry.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with EQMS, Ignite, and JDE software.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, independence, teamwork, and organizational abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project management experience to enhance efficiency and deliverable tracking.
