Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Senior Project Manager to expand our Wind Energy practice in St. Paul, Minnesota (MN)!
Responsibilities:- The qualified individual will lead a Wind Energy Engineering and Design team while building and managing relationships with key clients
- Coordinate or direct permitting, risk assesment, engineering, design or construction activities throughout the life span of a wind energy project to ensure that client's needs and objectives for development and construction are met
- Leadership responsibilities include:

- Growing and leading a land development practice
- Our Project Managers/Practice Builders manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentor
- The successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business

- 6+ years of relevant experience managing wind energy or related projects
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- Familiar with the relevant standards, regulations, and best practices for wind energy projects
- Experience with greenfield and/or repowering of wind projects throughout the life span of the development and construction of projects
- Extensive client contacts and relationships with renewable energy developers, owner-operators, EPCs, and teaming partners
- Strong technical skills in AutoCAD Civil3D, Excel, and/or GIS
- Provide project management services for development and detailed engineering wind energy projects across the United States with a focus on the central and mid-west regions of the U.S.
- Lead proposal development efforts and, if awarded the work, manage the project including working closely with engineering leads, SMEs, and junior staff to prepare and issue deliverables
- Market Kimley-Horn’s firmwide capabilities to new clients to increase revenue and project portfolio
- Lead project teams in the planning, design and construction support of wind energy projects
- Direct preparation of engineering reports, studies, conceptual designs, and permit applications
- Review and interpret local, state, and federal environmental regulations
- Communicate with clients throughout proposal and project execution
- Manage all aspects of project performance (scope, schedule, budget, quality)
- Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
- Ability to manage & mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
- Demonstrated ability to manage wind energy projects profitably
