A bit about us:
We are a rapidly expanding construction company based in Boston. We do everything from full gut remodels to ground up, new construction of multi-unit buildings. We are very busy and fast-paced and are looking for another Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to come on board with us. We typically have between 15-20 projects going on at any given time and our pipeline is extremely strong. This is a key position within our business and we are looking for someone who ideally has residential construction experience to come on board.
This position will be in the office, as well as on-site. A 50/50 split.

Are you a seasoned professional in residential construction management? Do you have a passion for leading teams and overseeing projects from inception to completion? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you! We are currently seeking an experienced Permanent Sr. Project Manager for Residential Construction to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in managing all aspects of our residential construction projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, project planning and initiation, resource management, budget and cost control, scheduling and time management, quality assurance and control, and more.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Sr. Project Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Leading the planning and implementation of residential construction projects.
2. Developing full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
3. Effectively managing project scope, schedule, and budget.
4. Conducting project risk assessments and implementing management plans to mitigate those risks.
5. Coordinating and managing all project resources, including subcontractors and materials.
6. Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
7. Ensuring quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
8. Managing the relationship with all stakeholders and ensuring effective and regular communication.
9. Overseeing the contract management process, including negotiation, compliance, and dispute resolution.
10. Ensuring all projects comply with necessary regulations and permits.
11. Preparing and presenting project documentation and reports.
12. Building and maintaining strong client relationships through excellent service.
13. Overseeing project closeout and ensuring all contractual obligations have been fulfilled.
14. Providing leadership, guidance, and support to project teams.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 8 years of proven working experience in project management in the construction sector, specifically in residential construction.
3. Solid experience in risk management, project planning and initiation, resource management, budget and cost control, scheduling and time management, quality assurance and control.
4. Excellent knowledge of construction project management software.
5. Strong client-facing and internal communication skills.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
8. A strong working knowledge of construction laws and regulations.
9. Proven leadership skills and the ability to inspire team members.
10. Professional Project Management (PMP) certification is a plus.
