GENERAL PURPOSE:
**Primary Accountability**
Manage, lead, and guide key business initiatives utilizing URMC’s standard project management methodology Monitors performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments, or resource adjustments Ensures results meet requirements regarding quality, cost and delivery.
**Dimensions and Scope**
Primary goals of the position are to:
+ Translate project requests into requirements and detailed project plans with tasks, timelines, milestones, and deliverables for project team members
+ Manage assigned URMFG projects of medium to large size
+ Establish strong partnerships with operational leaders and business unit subject matter experts
+ Cultivate effective communication and coordination across URMC constituents for successful completion of each project milestone
+ Drive results from all project team members through clear responsibility / accountability and scope expectations
Responsibilities include end-to-end project management services of medium to large projects, or management of portions of large projects with coaching and guidance, upon request of the URMFG Executive Office
**JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
1. PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Monitors progress of project activities and ensures all critical implementation criteria are met; provides status reports to medical center and governance steering committees. Manages project scope and timeline, using appropriate governance bodies and leadership direction. Identifies, tracks, and manages risks and mitigation plans within assigned projects, escalating as appropriate. Identifies, tracks, and manages issues to resolution within assigned projects, escalating as appropriate.
2. PROJECT COMMUNICATION: Facilitates project meetings using effective meeting techniques for objectives, agendas, participants, and meeting minutes. Develop/maintain reporting dashboards suitable for Sr. Leadership to communicate project status. Conducts post-project lessons learned sessions to identify successful project elements and areas for future improvement.
3. PROJECT INITIATION: Using the URMC Project Proposal Methodology, determines scope of the problem/project, through collaboration with the executive project sponsor, key clinical users, and ISD system and application analysts. Gathers input from team members on required tasks and translates into a project plan with activities, dependencies, dates and timeframes, resource requirements, milestones and deliverables. Collaborates with Project Directors to assign appropriate resources to the project.
4. KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT: Keeps current with business and strategic goals. Understands other University service providers. Stays apprised of team's roles, processes, tools, and architecture to better understand how the team works together to meet users' needs. Attends webinars, reads case studies and white papers, and participates in other free or low-cost opportunities to further refine skills and stay apprised on project management topics. Builds and maintains internal departmental relationships. Meets established deadlines, and motivates project team members to do the same. Maintains flexibility and professionalism while managing competing priorities.
5. GENERAL: Participates effectively as a "Team Member". Makes presentations to staff on work-related issues. Serves on committees and attends meetings as requested. Follows all administrative standards (such as timely time sheet preparations, completing time away requests, completing annual mandatory educational requirements, etc.). Other duties as assigned.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
Bachelor's degree required in related discipline such as Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or other related field. 5 years of related experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities: Extensive computer literacy to include experience in Smartsheet, Teams and Powerpoint. ServiceNow experience a plus; Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal), presentation, analytical and problem solving skills; Detail-oriented with a proven ability to manage projects. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

**Pay Range**
Pay Range: $84,7000 - $127,100 Annual
_The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._
