Sr Project Engineer - Knowhirematch

The Role:

This is a newly created position after the completion of a recent reorganization - the role reports to the engineering manager who is also based at this facility. The group you will be joining is about 10-12 people and they handle over 100 projects a year for this facility and those projects average $1MM a piece. The idea is that this person will be involved in that portfolio of projects initially, but the focus of the role will eventually shift to some of the larger projects they have planned. Some of those are in infancy stage now, but there are more coming. Also - this person will support primarily this facility now, with the possibility of support for two other facilities being added. Travel will be less than 25%. Most people who work at this site (which also holds the North American HQ for this company) live in the Savannah, Pooler and Richmond Hill areas. Beautiful area close to the beach and about 2 hours' drive from Jacksonville, FL.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Engineering degree - preferably Chemical or Mechanical, but open to others with the requisite experience
• Experience managing $5MM projects - cradle to grave. This group handles over 100 projects a year, and there are larger ones on the horizon; looking for someone who is experienced at leading projects and who can quickly get to the point where they are handling their own work load
• The ideal candidate would come out of chemical processing of some kind, but they can take people with manufacturing backgrounds in foods, maybe pharmaceuticals, or other closely related industries
• Need to have done front-end design on projects - they do work with EPC firms on larger projects, but for many of the smaller projects, the design work is done in house; they have Aspen and Pipeflo, and are willing to invest in other tools as well
